In terms of differences between the two, beyond price the main one is location. If proximity is desired, the Chicago South Loop Hotel is just off the IIT campus, a 6-8 block walk to the conference site. The potential downside is that it is an area of town with more limited restaurants/shopping/entertainment, etc. Meanwhile, the Club Quarters is in the heart of the Chicago loop, 3-4 miles from the conference site. As a result, attendees will need transportation to/from the conference facility. However, if the convenience of a multitude of restaurants/shopping/entertainment, etc. is desired, this location might be preferred.
