The 11th IPTComm conference will be held from October 15-17, 2018, Chicago, Illinois, USA . IPTComm brings together researchers from academia, industry and government to discuss challenges, share ideas, results and experiences. The conference addresses current topics related to Cloud-based IP communication architectures, WebRTC-enabled applications, Big Data analytics in IP-based communication networks, Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine to Machine (M2M) systems, Mobility and Ubiquitous computing, Network Function Virtualization (NFV), Software Defined Networking (SDN), 5G technologies. IPTComm focuses on the reliability, security, privacy, performance and scalability of real-time communications and data services, as well as on the applicability of these technologies for public-safety applications such as Next Generation 9-1-1.

IPTComm is co-located with Real-Time Communications (RTC) Conference, Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), Chicago. In addition to hosting the IPTComm Research track, the RTC Conference will have tracks related to IoT, WebRTC and CPaaS, Mobile Networks and Applications, and NG9-1-1. The demonstrations and presentations in these tracks complement the material presented in the IPTComm track and serve as a source of new ideas and research partnerships in industry.

IPTComm 2018 is co-sponsored by the IEEE Chicago section. Accepted papers will be published in IEEE Xplore.

We invite paper submissions addressing theoretical and experimental achievements, innovative systems, prototyping efforts, case studies and technological advancements. The topics include but are not limited to:

Submission Guidelines

Paper submissions must describe original research, not published nor currently under review for another conference or journal. The program committee will referee all papers. At least one author of each paper must be registered and present their paper at the conference.
  • All paper submissions must be done through EDAS - https://edas.info/N24657.
  • Regular regular paper submissions should follow the guidelines and use the formatting tools available at the IEEE Manuscript Templates page.
  • Regular papers are limited to 8 pages, double-column IEEE format, including figures, references and appendices.
  • Work-in-progress papers should have no more than 4 pages in IEEE double-column format, including figures, references and appendices. Work-in-progress papers must include "Work in Progress" in the title.

If your paper is accepted and you need an invitation letter to apply for a visa to attend the conference, please contact tpc@iptcomm.org as soon as possible. (Visa applications can take at least 30 working days to process.) Please identify yourself as a presenter and include your mailing address in your email.

IPTComm offers sponsorship opportunities for your company, organization or institute. IPTComm is the only international academic conference solely devoted to IP telecommunications research. As such it attracts an international list of participants involved in cutting edge IP telecommunications research.

Sponsorship is available at gold (US$2000), silver (US$1000) and bronze (US$500) levels. Depending on the level, sponsorship entitles the sponsor to place its logo on the conference website, the printed conference program and the conference proceedings that are distributed to conference attendees at the conference. A promotional flyer can also be included in attendees' conference packages. A sponsor may also choose to be an official sponsor of a lunch, dinner, or social event. Alternatively, a sponsor may choose financially assist student attendance. We are open to other suggestions.
